Who We Are

We founded the Living Adventurers Program out of a deep understanding and compassion for those in need of emotional support. As individuals who are both high sensation seeking and high sensing, we have personally navigated the challenges of growing up in a society that often didn’t understand or appreciate our unique qualities. We know all too well the feelings of being perceived as different or ‘broken’ in some way, and the accompanying sense of shame and exclusion. This personal journey has made us acutely aware of the scarcity of affordable resources and guidance for people like us, and the lack of societal support for developing such resources.

Motivated by our experiences and the desire to make a positive change, we dedicated ourselves to not only developing the skills necessary to thrive amidst life’s challenges but also to gaining the experience needed to apply these skills effectively. Our goal has always been to empower individuals to face life’s adversities with confidence and pride.

In 1996, a groundbreaking study brought to light a trait known as Highly Sensitive People (HSPs), believed to be present in 15 to 20% of the population at the time. More recent studies suggest this number could be as high as 30%. This discovery resonated deeply with us, and in 2023, when we met, we realized that by combining our knowledge and experiences, we could create a program that would not only support HSPs but also offer invaluable tools for anyone on a journey of self-improvement. Building the High Responsive Training program required immense hard work and dedication, but it was fueled by our unwavering commitment to helping others and making a meaningful difference in their lives.

Each of us, regardless of gender, experiences life through a lens uniquely shaped by our individual journeys. This diversity, encompassing both male and female perspectives, enriches our mutual understanding and emotional connectivity. In an effort to deepen our shared comprehension and empathy, we believe it’s important to share a vivid and compassionate glimpse into our individual pasts, presents, and envisioned futures. This approach not only celebrates our differences but also fosters a profound appreciation for the intricate tapestry of human experiences that brought the High Responsive Training program and The Living adventurers to life.
